I can't be the first guy that can't fit in his garage because of the cab lights standing 2" off the top of his roof
Anyways, I've searched high and low, and I can't find anything. I've got an 06 F350 w/6" of suspension lift and 35" tires. I could make it in my garage if it weren't for the cab lights...
I need lights that would almost be flush mount, or at least 1/2 that of the factory covers. With that in mind, I obviously couldn't use the factory bulbs, because they'd be too big. I was hoping for a new light setup that used LED's.
And believe me, I was looking for one of the tire deflation systems that you'd find on an old Hummer H1, but I can't find that kit anywhere either.. I've already got an onboard compressor & tank because of my train horn(s) setup.

How close is it? I am sure you could find some aftermarket lights that arent so tall.
That might be a tougher task, incorporating a CTIS (central tire inflation system) to your super duty - not saying that it couldnt be done, but I think it would be a lot easier and cheaper to find some different clearance lights.

I know my truck would not fit in my garage if I install clearance lights. I don't get it in the garage that much, anyway.
There is a company that makes brake light kits for hot rods, they are flush mounted into the body then painted over. When the lights are off you cannot see them, it just looks like smooth body. When you turn them on the light shine through the paint. I don't see why this wouldn't work for clearance lights, although it would be a royal PITA to fabricate. (It would look cool, though)
Looking at the lights themselves, you could probably gain about 1/2 inch clearance with some creative trimming, using a Dremel. It probably wouldn't get you enough clearance.
the guys at recon accessories told me that some people get the dodge ram led marker lights for their fords. i think you have to drill one hole, but other than that they fit the contour of the roof and are a good deal shorter than the stock ford cab lights.
Which part are you close to hitting the door or the door opening? I believe there are kits to make the door open up further if it is hanging down a few inches lower than the opening.
