Schaeffer's oil anybody?
Anybody here running Schaeffer's 7000 (15W40 blend) or 9000 (5W40 full synthetic) oil? Rotella 5W40 didn't work out for me but I was wondering if anybody was running this stuff and if they had any oil anaylsis after running it? I have consistantly had higher than average iron readings in the 5 UOA I have done and would like to get it to go away.

quite possibly. I already knew I have more blowby than I should and #6 fails a contirbution test. i don't know if its from my turbo destruction or if it was like that when I bought the truck. Either way it still runs good and starts fine even in the cold. blackstone said not to worry about the high iron. its still not in the alarm category just higher than the average. I like to be below average for some things!
here is a link to my UOA

If its used as maintence then it becomes much better for diagnostic as you can see trends starting or catch problems early.

Also I am hoping for an injector issue. I will find out when I put my stage 1's in ( if I ever get them built!) I will also be doing a compression test while I am in there and I am contemplate a set of 910-16 valve springs.
