I'm looking to buy some gauges. I have found all kinds on the net, but none on ebay as a complete set for pyro, boost & trans with under the dash mount. Has anyone bought some from ebay. I like to use ebay because of paypal makes it so easy to buy.
np. let me know of you need help finding anything. if you search by seller for "glowshift", they are the first to come up. AFAIK, they only have pillar style pods for our trucks.
I too have a guage question. Whats the best bang for the buck and once you get them how do you mount. I have seen people mount there boost on map line or on manifold just before it goes into motor. Pyro i have seen people mount on the y pipe before turbo and on the downpipe after turbo.
Boost- t into map line
Tranny- installed probe in test port
Pyro- lower drive side (drill & tap)
water- test port on water pump
All the installs are pretty easy. The hardest part, i think, is running the wires and getting them zipped tied and secured out of the way. Soon, I will be installing oil & fuel pressure gauges as well. I never liked the idea of the a-pillar or over the mirror, so I have an under dash cubby, and mounted the rest in the the dash. I'll take some pics once all the gauges are installed.

It depends what you want. You can get them for less the $300, but I wanted a good match to the stock cluster and preferred LED backlighting. I spent a few extra bucks and got the DiPricol Optix gauges from ITP. Regarding the boost pickup, you can tee into the MAP line, drill & tap an AIH delete plug (or buy one), or drill & tap the manifold itself. I think the most elegant is the AIH delete plug -- kills two birds with one stone...

I've also been researching those gauges and I'm about to order them this week from Dennis. DiPricol also has the HPOP gauges out, so I'm putting one of those in my truck as well.
Yeah, I got the 4-gauge A-pillar pod because Dennis told me there were some new gauges coming from them. I'm thinking the same thing, but it's pretty pricey. I'll be doing some other mods first, then I'll get that bad-boy on there. I just found out that the next local event with a dyno won't be until the spring, so I'm wanting get all the little things done to make sure I'm where I want to be when it's time. That one is handy, but farther down the list of things to do before spinning the rollers...
EDIT: I'm seriously considering those stage 1 single shots so I'd like to have that gauge on there to see how it affects the HPOP.
Best bang for the buck, OEM look gauges are definetly found at Hewitt Industries. I paid Under $200 for the Trans, Pyro, Boost and pillar. They took good care of me
A lot of guys here have bought them. I owned one for about 10 minutes before I sold it. I didn't like the look of the gauge at all, but that was just personal preference on style. I am sure it would have dont the job. I do like blackout gauges. I just like the style I chose more than glowshift:
