hey all-- I am having problems with my '89 f-250--460\c6 combo with 156k on it.
K here is the problem-- I was driving down the freeway the other day and i always start runnin off the rear tank front was also full. I noticed after about 45 miles the gage read empty. I pulled over at next rest area and i am just dumping fuel on the ground out of the front tank fill tube. so i let the exess fuel out of front tank ran off of it til empty and switched back to back tank after i got gas in it and same thing but when i swiched back to front the dang tank is full of gas again???? Whats going on here?? Any help\suggestions would be appreciated.

also how hard is it to check if my A\C compressor is good or not when i turn on the AC the compressor dont engage, i think it is dry but i cant find nowhere that sells the old r12 or whatever it is everybody says i have to convert and dang that costs a bunch is there a do it yourself way for cheaper?? thanks yall

Your selector valve is not switching and locking to the rear tank.
This is more than likely caused by a bad fuel selector valve.
Replacement refrigerant is not too hard to find, go to a web site of one of the manufactures of the replacement refrigerant and they will list your local distributors of their product.
