I'm pretty sure the shifter collar is some cheap zinc alloy.

yeah something like that. either way, looked like cast iron looking through a 1/4" gap.

mine is a nice gray color.

could i get the indicator pin for the NSS from any JY truck, or should i order from ford? Y2k the other sponsor sites dont have the part....

Either Ford dealer sponsor (DIRECTFORDPARTS is the other one) can order the part for you if they don't stock it. The only problem is...since they don't stock it, you may have to buy the entire package..how many are in one, I don't recall.

tried to call y2k and their number is not in service, discount ford parts ordered the part $32 for it and shipping, little high, but special orders always are.
