LOL... I remember when I lived in the Tampa area the City of Clearwater installed large print road signs so older drivers could see the street names. I'm not sure if I was the only one that saw a fundamental flaw in their logic or not, but it was amusing to me. I stayed out of Clearwater as much as I could, but the beach was truly a beautiful place and worth the risk.

what about the DRIVE UP atm machines with brail on the buttons...thats my personal favorite

what I don't unnerstannnn:

How do they find the stupid sign to to feel what it says.
I don't know of any requirement for standard placing.

Have you ever noticed that many of the buttons on drive up teller machines are in braile?

up here them would not last long in the winter..plows would raise hell with them..instead they put grooves about 1" deep and they are 1'w x 2' L every 2 feet apart..trust me when you hit them..they do wake you up...

Down south we don't have snow plows so that's not an issue. We call those things City *******.
