Ihave the same truck, start with boost, pyro and trans temp gauges. get intake and valvebody for trans. Tell jody when you get your dp tuner about the valve bosy and get a v-10 trans cooler or the 6.0 trans cooler. that would be a great start up and you can work from there. Also from what i've heard you can have Jody retune the chip for additional mads as you go so the is a great choice.

I routinely recommend gauges, air intake, exhaust and chip, in that order. Clearly, this is totally up to the customer.

Your gauges will let you know what is going on under the hood and out the back. When your towing, this info is helpful.

The air intake and exhaust allow your truck to inhale/exhale, and just like us, it performs much better when it can breathe. Performance and fuel economy are usually improved with these additions.

Lastly, the chip can provide some additional "oomph" and changes to shift points to help get up some of those hills. A few customers with '99s opt for new turbos instead of chips...to each his own.

Hope this helps!

Ask the local exhaust shops to give you a piece off their floor, if your going to be putting exhaust on soon, go to the shop when you get it done and get one of the scrap pieces. The piece of pipe only needs to be about 3 1/3-4 inches. Otherwise some people have used PVC with and outside diameter of 4 inches as well. You may want to get two pieces 4 inches long incase you want to do the CCV mod later. Most exhaust shops have all kinds of 4" exhaust pieces laying on the floor. Otherwise go dig in their dumpster out back.

When you do the 6637, do you have to it any, or you just stick it right in?

And the pipe your talking about, is that for the intake? Anyone got pics of this?

I did not use any pipe for the filter-tube connection but i did use a piece of pipe for the part that replaces the CCV tube.

You should start with a cold air intake: http://motorhaven.autoanything.com/air-intakes/20A50096A1.aspxor an aftermarket exhaust: http://motorhaven.autoanything.com/exhausts-mufflers/10A50209.aspx
