I have and 2000 F350. I need advice on the best chips and programmers on the market. I need know what companies to work with and not to work with. I want HP without buring up the tranny. I will be putting gauges, 6637 air filter mod, and 5in exhaust on the truck. I am looking to gain 50 to 150 hp.
How much does it cost? Where can I get one? What kind of hp gains can I expect?
If I'm remembering corectly it can range from $240 to $465, or something like that, depending on how many positions you want and the setting to choose from are stock, no-start, valet, high idle, (20, 40, 60) tow, 80 econo, 100 performance, 120 race, 140 extreme, and of course if you need it then you can get yours custom tuned.

The AIH is the Air Induction Heater which unless you live up north and dont have a block warmer then you dont need and it is just blocking about 20% of the air flow thats going into your engine. It really cheap and easy to get rid of and you can find the plugs for it in some of the sponsors sites. The HPX is the High Pressure oil Crossover which will make the pressure to the injectors more balanced an thus give you a smoother running engine.
I don't see the issue with the AIH delete. It operates when the engine is running and the ambient temp is below 32 and the oil is below 55 and the tranny is in park with the glow plugs off. What that means is that you start the truck and leave it in idle and it is cold out there and the GPs have cycled off. Well, most times when I take start it, I take off soon after gently. That is why I used it as a boost gauge tap.
Go to www.dp-tuner.com. That's Jody's website. Also, no matter what you do, some tranny upgrades are suggested. The stock engine can destroy a tranny without any mods. A BTS valve body would be good for the trans.
Not too much info on the site, give him a call with questions. He will recommend a BTS valve body for the transmission, it allows him to use a different shift program. Definitely worth the $225 for the BTS, shifting and TC lock up are MUCH improved. Get one of Jody's chips, you won't be dissapointed. They have very good power and still keep EGT's in check.
edit: JT, ya beat me to it! I need to improve my typing skills!
The ATS is a goot TQ. I think Brian (don't quote me on this) put the 5 plate TQ in when he does your trans. That and a valve body will help your trans a lot.
