Again, I’m sorry to those I’ve offended.

I'm not sure how these rep points work, but I sure hope the negitive ones don't have any impact on anything.

I can't believe that anyone would find any offense in your comments. That just flabbergasts me. Of course I get flabbergasted alot by some of the narrow minded thinking that goes on in this world.

For those afraid of the dark.... ...here's a simple solution....stay out of it.

Ok, lets get back to our normal lighthearted banter

Are you serious? Someone(s) took enough offense to anything you posted to give negative feedback rep points? Tell us who they are and we'll kill them.
ONLY KIDDING!!! (for thse with no sense of humor)

I really don't understand the whole rep points thing, but AFAIK it has no real meaning or impact and yours says "starting out with a positive reputation" to the rest of us, we don't get to see any of the individual comments, so just fuggitaboudit!

What are rep points? Where do you see them at? I don't see any. Why would anyone be offended by people talking about thier projects. I like to see what other people are working on and what they have or are doing to them. Just set back have a cookie and a frosty and enjoy what other people have to say and show. This is one of lifes better places. We're all friends here. Aren't WE.

AX,

I understand now. I just went and looked at my reputation points. It looks like I got slammed as well. Last week or so there was a poll posted by an antagonistic young individual that was creating some strife on the board.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...in-a-ford.html
Later in the thread another young individual made some postings defending the antagonist. It turns out the two profiles were the same individual. There was also a posting from the youngsters father. It seems that our young antagonist is a poor loser.

I was hoping that the young fellow would learn some internet manners, or maybe his father would step in and teach some internet protocal, but, alas, its not happening.

As for myself, its not worth getting into a pissing match with said individual. I got sucked into an arguement (againt my better judgement) with him once in the "Ford in a Ford" poll. Basically, we got one bad apple in the mix........its not going to ruin my day.

Forgive me for I have sinned.........

I see that you are refering to my gallery. I am not such a dolt as to think that my wife's Falcon is a Ranchero. When you go to set up a gallery you are only given so many choices as to what make and model the vehicle is. Obviously, since this is a truck site there is no listing for a Falcon, therefore I chose the closest descriptor.

There is a simple resolution to this problem:
Everyone go to their control panel (user cp in the blueband near the top of page)
There is a selection tab there for buddy/ignore list. Add said disruptive and disrespectful user's name to the ignore list. Presto you will never see a post from that person again!
Said person: please go to your cp and add this entire forum to your ignore list. That way you will never have to see or read anything that offends YOU here again!
PS: I defintely would rather know someone who "doesn't know the difference between a Falcon and a Ranchero (seems I remember them both being built on the same platform for a while) than someone who doesn't know the difference between good and poor manners, the first is real easy to correct or overlook. Have a nice day.

This is pathetic. I am going to put my two cents worth in here. Ax, you are right.. Bobby, you are right. Let's break it down like so. First, Nuge, were you aware that NONE of the manufacturers produced their own body panels? They were all produced by Fisher Body Company. Second, did you know that NONE of the manufacturers produced their own axles? They were all produced by Spicer, Timken, Eaton, Etc. Three, did you know that none of the electronics were produced by the manufacturers? They were all built by GE, Philco, ETC. I can make the list go on and on, and I am sure some of the other far more experienced members can add to the list. Who cares what is put into a vehicle. As I previously stated, some rigs ARE NOT worth a concours restoration, they are too far gone. Some ENTHUSIASTS (myself included) cannot afford to buy the correct NOS part for a restoration. The latter is why I have sold my perfectly original fire truck. You cannot enter the automotive world with a closed mind. These are our canvas for our work of art. If you go through Fords history, you will find that in the early 60's the Ranchero was not called a Ranchero, it was called a FALCON RANCHERO. There are some of us in here that respect the vehicle for what it is, not for what it has in it. We like the lines, and the stance, and are even appreciative to the amount of thought that went into some of the beautiful custom rides that grace this forums gallery. To insult a member for what he has done to his rig, one is rude, and two is comparable to a grade school playground argument. It aint worth it. I respect your feelings that you are some what of a purist, that is fine. Irespect your opinion that you do not care for the customization of a particular vehicle. I also respect the members and builders of all the trucks associated to this website. Their time and efforts and money that went into their rides is something to marvel at. I do not respect you or your fathers behavior or attitude for insulting the fine members that make up this wonderful organization. You need to grow up, and open your mind.

I’ve really struggled with the whole thought of interjecting any further comment to this post.
But as you can see my darkside has won.

I think to some point there is a communications problem with us and NUGECRAZY.
Judging by his signature I believe he considers all darksiders to have non Ford pwr plant however this is not a requirement of the darkside. I believe a darkside truck can be powered with anything. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Nuge, there are many darksiders with Ford power.
