MM&FF are idiots. That 7.0L experimental is a Hurricane/Boss engineering exercise codenamed 777 for 7.0L, 700 hp @ 7,000 rpm. Apparently it must make over 700 hp on E85.
SOHC, 2V, 2 spark plugs per cylinder. You can find better pictures of the engine in Don Bowles car on the 'net. You'll see it has a Modular style timing chain cover, a dead giveaway for overhead camshafts. Also note how far back the #1 and #5 intake runners sit from the front of the engine. Does MM&FF really believe Ford just wasted all of that space for no reason?

Regardless of what "type" of motor it is, lets hope we actually see it put into production.
I would imagine it would be de-tuned somewhat for production but a 700 hp F150 would get the job done...
It's essentially a big bore version of what we'll see (6.2) in the F150. It should make 425 hp in the F150.
Blue II on BOF says there is a "TwinForce" 6.2L (DOHC, 4V, direct injection, twin turbo) that has made over 650 lbftf in testing and will get gas mileage on par with a 5.0L range V8.
