Need help decoding these door codes please
Hey guys,
I just bought a new toy and would like to try and find out what I can about the pickup if anyone can help me with these codes.
VIN: 2FTHF2611ECA76582
WB 133
Type-GVW F268
Body GB4
TRANS P
Axle 73
Spring 9
Type 3L
GVWR 8600LB
Date 02/84

As soon as i get home i'll try to get on and Decode them. Stupid computer's at school wouldnt let me get on that site and "reported" me to the dean of students, my dad had to come up here to show the dean that it was not a "bad" website, WHAT A LOSER, and i betcha he felt that way after. My dads pissed thought b/c he had to drive 15 min and TAKE OFF WORK. Anyways ill try to get back at ya.

Ok ive got it, some of it atleast
Model Year: 79
Series: F250 - 4x4 Pickup
Engine: 6 Cyl, 240ci, 1bbl (Special Order)
Transmission: 4 spd, Manual, Warner T19
Your rear axle code is not right, and your Front axle which would be the same as the rear, and the assembly plant is unknown. I thought you had an 80-86 but an 79 popped up, it also said unknown vin number but i erased the first 4-5 digits and thats what came up, make sure you have the right vin and everything. Hope this helps.

Hey guys,
I appreciate you attempting to decode these numbers, but something definitely isn't right. This truck is a 84 one owner truck with a diesel. Definitely not a 79. Besides in 79 they did not use the 17 digit vin codes.

H= Class G 8,501 to 9,000 GVWR
F26= F250 4X4 Super Cab
1= 6.9 ltr. Diesel
1=Check Digit
E=1984
C=Ontario Truck plant
A 76582=Serial Number
Trans. P=Manual T19 4-speed Warner
Axle 73=not listed in my manual (but all listed two digit codes ending in 3 except E3 are 3.54:1 ratio)
