Tachometer

I have a 94 F350 crew cab with the 7.3 IDI and 5 speed.

The tachometer sits on zero when the engine is at idle and warmed up. Is this normal? It operates fine when the engine rpms are increased during normal driving....

No its not normal. It should show you actual engine speed at all times.
