Thanks to everyone on this Forum. with all the possitive feedback on DP-Tuner i have taken the dive an ordered up my own. Since i don't Tow except for the once and a while rock removal and a bed full of brick i just got the 80-120-140smoke for when i want to **** people off lol.
i just have 4inch downpipe and 4inch straight back, hoping to get some stacks soon but worried about the rain and snow getting in them since im not a huge fan of the turn outs, and i just have a 6637 airfilter and a new ford rebuilt tranny. is the 140 smoke really that much smoke
Dont be worried about the snow and rain getting in them. Ive had mine for awhile and the rain hasnt hurt them. THis winter is going to be the first winter with the mitres, but I dont see a problem, everyone around here ran mitres last winter, no problems. It will melt or blow out when started unless it turns to ice(unlikely). Run some stacks!
You're going to love the DP!! Smoke?? Yep -- you'll black out the sky...
As far as stacks, don't forget that whatever water gets in 'em blows out all over the top of your truck when you fire it up. I have a white truck, so it's important to me. I also like the side-exit to blast ricers & other clowns with a face full of soot. Hard to do that when they fire straight up. Besides, I think it's a bit tacky to have stacks on a pickup. Just my humble opinion -- I know a lot of you guys like 'em...
It sure is!!! And it's a whole lot better than the one-fingered-salute when some jack weed (can I say "jack weed" on this forum??) does something stupid to you...
Does the 120 setting put out enough smoke to make he happy and keep the wife quiet?
you have the early 99..if you have a good cold air intake and at least a 4" exhaust..the 120 is about all your truck can handle..the HPOP on the early 99 cant keep up with any thing more then that..my 120 smokes really nice..and i can blow some smoke in the 80 econo prety good too
