A "solid" cam is a cam that is designed for use with solid lifters. It will have different lobe profiles than a cam designed for use with hydraulic lifters.
The easiest way to tell is to pull one of the valve covers. If the engine has solid lifters, it needs adjustable rocker arms. If the rocker arms each have little adjusting screws for setting the valve lash, you've got solid lifters.
Some guys can also tell solid lifters by the sound, but I can't describe the sound here.
Now why someone would go to the trouble of converting a 360 to solid lifters is beyond me. It may have a Crane cam in it, but I'd be shocked if it was a solid lifter cam, complete with solid lifters, adjustable rockers, and the oil galleries to the lifters blocked off.
