Rear Window Lube?
Rear Window Lube?
I have the tailgate panel off because the window sticks half way up and I have to pull on the top to help it go up or push on it to go down. Regulator looks rusty how can I clean it up and lubricate it?
Mine did the same thing. There is a channel along the bottom of the glass that the regulator arm roller rolls in. I used white grease from an aerosol can on all of it. Then with the window almost up sprayed the side edges of the glass with dri-lube and lowerd the glass to lube the window tracks...repeated several times. No problem for a couple years now.

Absolutely! Yes. Graphite/dry-lube is best. Since dirt and dust WILL accumulate in the tailgate, anything to keep it from sticking to moving parts is a benefit. Any petroleum-based product is going to allow crud to gather and make mechanisms sticky.
