Arrow WeatherTech Channel Window Visor

Seem to have an issue with my WeatherTech in the channel window visor's on the front windows. When I open or close the window...I hear scraping from the dust/dirt that gets in there.

Is this common for this type of window visors??? If yes, any solution???

I just fear that my windows on my new 2012 SD are going to get all scratched up...

I've had the same visors on my 2010 SD since I bought it new in May 2010. I hear those same sounds you describe when the window "seats" but there are no scratches or marks on the windows yet.

I don't know if this is common, but I'm not concerned.

Unhappy

Actually...the sound is more pronounced when the window is going down. I think it is at the front of the window channel (by mirror side).

I'm just hoping my windows aren't getting all trashed out...with scratches.

Just apply a little car wax to the top edge of the window and wipe it off. Rain-X works too.

I like the little wax or rain-x comment. Really though I have had mine on for over a year as well, and no scratches, plastic on glass the glass will win. As far as the dirt etc that could get in there I would say isn't going to be enough to scratch them either.

I do LOVE the look of Weather techs VS the glued on ones! So much sleeker barely notice them. I hated vents on trucks until these came out. Thought it looked bad having the bubble over the windows.
