TC lock up mod

Im wanting to do the TC lock up mod and i am not entirly sure how I should wire the toggle. should I have you side tapped into the wire for the wire going to the trans and the other as a ground or should it be a hot wire?

they say to use the #4 pin but is that at the trans or up in the fender where it plugs in

I read the instructions as the #4 pin of the oval, 12 pin connector at the tranny. Tap into this wire and run into the cab and to one side of the switch the other side of the switch should have a wire to ground.

REPEAT: This is the way that I understand the instructions.
