I have a 2003 Expedition and the Driver's window stopped working. When I opened up the door the cable was a mess and kinked. The motor seems to work. I guess I need a new cable...What is it I need, a new regulator? Any help is appreciated
I bought a drivers door regulator recently for the same reason as you.
$134.00
Cheap plastic, stupid design.
Can you tell me where you bought just the regulator? The dealership told me this was a factory part only and quoted me around $300 for the parts alone to fix it (must be the motor as well).
The regulator part number for the front drivers side, 2003 Expedition is:
6L1Z-7823209-AA
I bought mine at the local Ford Store for around $135.00
Here is a link to Bob Utter Ford. He will sell you one online for $100.27. You will need to enter the above part number in the collision search area, along with year and make.
