High Boy Or Not?????
#46
Hey straight shot:
The highboys were workhorses and if you can find one that hasn't been trashed you better buy up some lottery tickets. Up here they were mostly plow trucks/farm trucks, and run into the ground, powertrains outlasted the bodys. If you are in the south they have had another 20 years+ to be thrashed upon .
You probably won't find a turnkey highboy for under 4-5000, and it probably won't have a lot of OEM parts left on it. If you can do your own upgrades, repairs you can save a pile.
HIGHBOYS are cool and will always draw attention.

i am 21 years old and live in wilkes co. north carolina and i own an all original 1968 ford f-250 highboy 4x4 that has had little to nothing changed about the truck since 68.. it was my familys farm truck and has 46000 original miles new paint. tires and engine are the only changes to the truck.. it has VERY little rust. and will crank on the first turn key. the truck drives great and is in wonderful shape(body and mecanical) how much do you see this truck being worth??
