Either way, I prefer/want a check/cheque that will be honored, and won't (will not) be returned due to NFS; Non-Sufficient Funds; (bounced check/cheque).
I do try to use proper grammar while typing my comments, answers, or questions in the different forums I visit. It is so easy for your mind to race ahead of your fingers while typing out what you want to say. This despite having taken secretarial classes in High School and College in those years "Mad Men" is set into. Then making the mistake of forgetting to proofread the message before clicking the "post reply" button.
The best one was on KRON channel 4 TV news about 2 years ago when the sports caster was talking about a baseball player that had swelled disks in his back.
He stated "it must be hard to run around the bases with a swelled dick".
The wife and I looked at each other and started laughing, both couldn't believe what he said.
