I wonder if the float was a little hung up. Good to hear it is fixed. Did you do the helper pump too?
Scott
My tank has always been slow to react, and when I had the float assy out I noticed a lot of corrosion/pitting on it.
I carefully used my dremel to clean it a bit, but did not want to get to aggressive out of fear of damaging the ceramics, and having to spring for a new one.
Did the pre-pump filter, so I will probably install a Carter 4070 in the near future.
Did you also Harpoon it?
Had a senior moment, and only did the vent hose..... forgot I needed to do the filler hose too.
Hmm, I've never heard of doing the filler hose. I am (or was) sure the Harpoon mod is simply cutting the vent tube as flush as possible. That's what I did and it works great.
My fuel gauge has never been the same since I did my itp pre pump kit. First time it was 1/4 tank off, second time its 1/8 tank off. Never been right since. Now I just fill ub by miles driven. Any ideas? It works fine when I manipulate it manually out of the tank.

I believe that is why I had the Senior Moment....I had read about it here as just the vent tube.
But the instructions ITP sent with my kit, stated that both the vent, and the filler hose tube should be cut as close as possible.
