HID conversion
I did it and love it. It also depends on the year model of your truck because of the material the headlamp capsules were made of. I got mine from Dfuser and with sylvania silverstar ultras you can light up the highway for a LONG way.

I used a kit. No high beam. Don't really need it anyway. Mounted the ballasts on the core support for the headlights, on the top of the engine side. Fog light ballasts on the front of the core either side of the radiator just behind the top edge of the bumper. Plug and play otherwise.
Keep in mind you will most likely be blinding everyone if you dont use a custom projector or a cutoff shield. Depending on how strict the law is where you live you may want to check in to it before you start this project.

I had hids.. Really look at the brands.. I forgot what mine were.. I had a lot of interference with the PCM.. My lights would flicker on the highway and honestly.. They weren't that bright.. I get more distance with my Headlights now then I did with the 8k and 6k HID bulbs.. Just FYI.. I would really research the brands, maybe mine was a bad brand..
Looks interesting. When I bought my truck used from the dealership it had some silverstar lamps in it. The bulbs fried the wiring harness. Luckily the dealer replaced it since they had put them in. It was nice to pull up behind people and light up their car like daytime
