he just wants me to be happy. besides, he has a hard time getting out of the truck now...he loves jumping in, hes just a little hesitant of jumping down...
Nothing worse than beating yourself up after an accident. The lift, tires and rims don't really matter that much in the big scheme of things. Sell em, keep em, wont matter in two years anyway. Your life will change direction again, often without your planning or approval. I sold all my stuff after I crashed my jeep into a cop thinking the money would help fix everything. Wrong, all it did was postpone me lifting my jeep and cost me the money I lost on reselling new items. Get your priorities straight and then go from there but don't sell your stuff as a self inflicted punishment. Just look at Henry, he doesn't care as long as he has a little food and a place to sleep.
haha...the money from the lift isnt to help for the damge of things...its to get outta credit card debt becuse this accident thig opened my eyes to what should be important right now in my life...but your truck looks awesome by the way!!!
sorry to hear about the accident. I think the repairs depends on the insurance. state farm replaced the push bumper and brush guard on my 90 ranger 8 years ago when I fell asleep at the wheel and hit a cement wall at 70mph. (woke up in time to save it. thank god for wakeup strips) as far as the ins rates go you never know. I had my first accident last year in 7 years. also my first on my current ins. and my rate went up. that one sucked brakes went out on my 94 f-150 backed into a dodge caravan at 5 miles an hour. truck sat too tall to hit the bumper and did $1500 worth of damage to the back end. so we all have our bad days. good luck.
Most insurance companies have a first wreck forgiveness rule(I know state farm does) even with speeding tickets on your record(unless they have caveats for their foregiveness rule if they have one to begin with).
Every insurance company is different. PLUS, each company has many different types of policies. A policy with accident forgiveness is not that company's cheapest policy ...its a decision you make. I personally wouldn't bet that I AM going to get into an accident.
As far as your father's policy, as soon as you are off his policy, that ends it for him. If you still live at home, his insurance company will demand proof that you have your own policy. In some states, there will even be a policy rider specifically excluding you from driving his vehicles (such a rider is not legal here in NJ). He will not be paying higher premiums because of what you did (if you are not on the policy). You, however, have a big problem ..... a big problem that many of us have gone through as kids.
lol...ya the truck is in his name due to the fact that it is considered a company vehicle...now once all this situated with the repairs on my truck...i am buying the truck off of him and taking my own loan and getting on my own policy...i got a quote from the insurance company and it really wasnt that bad...so the truck will be in my name along with my own policy...i have to pay for my own mistakes...such is life i guess
