Engine I.D.
I have a 55 panel truck with a 5.0 engine. I need to replace the air conditioning compressor. The parts suppliers want a application to search computer. Are all the compressors the same?? Thanks

It's probably going to be one of these two, they're the most common I've come across:
6P148A HAS 5 EARS 1 TOPFT 2FT 2R 5 EAR ALL THREADED
SD709 4 CROSS MOUNT THROUGH HOLES FRONT & REAR 2 TOP 2 BOTTOM
Note how the compressor mounts to the engine. My '89 5.0 uses the top compressor.
