well, i found the problem with the aoheck uninstaller. there was a virus attached to it, and when i tried to uninstall it, the virus started to attack my software. so i ended up formating the drive. now since 90% of the stuff on the hard drive was already on a zip drive, i did not loose anything important.
one thing i forgot how to do though, is when i want to open a new window, it used to open full page. now it only opens 1/4 page, and i can't remember how to reset it. i also forget which popup blocker i had installed. it was a freebie that goes hand in hand with internet explorer, and sits hidden in the toolbar.
anybody know what i am talking about, and how to reset these things??
for the pop up blocker, go into internet expoler, "tools" (at top of the page) then "Internet Options". In internet options, there is a tab that says "privacy", at the bottom there is a place about the pop-up blocker, check the box, hit apply or ok and that is done. As for setting the page size, I am not sure, but you can try grabbing the edge and stretching it to the desired size. Sometimes it will stay the "new" size sometimes not, I am not 100% how to fix that. Hope it helps though
For the size, you have to maximize the window, close it, open it again and repeat. the third time you open it, it should be maximized.
Usually all you have to do is Maximize the screen then exit by using the Menu Not the "X" at the top of the screen. Example: Maximize then click on the file menu, then select Close.
That will do it in 1 step.
The pop up blocker was probably Pop up blocker by panicware
