PC question???

Everytime I open a second window in XP, it only opens minimized across 1/2 the screen... What do I have to do, to remedy this?
thanks

Couple different thoughts on this one:

After the second window is open:
Maximize it (icon in the upper right hand corner)
Close it right after doing this
Open a second window (does it open maximized?)

If opening from a shortcut on the desktop or elsewhere:
Right click on the icon (shortcut) | Properties
Change the Run option from Normal to Maximized

Minimize the first window and then manually resize the second window to fill the screen. Then hold down shift and close out the second window. Sometimes that will do the trick, but it probably won't last and eventually it will revert to the 1/2 size. I've heard it referred to as Windows' Window Amnesia.

When you close the screen, do not use the X. Instead go to the toolbar and go to File/Exit.
