What's out there for Big Oil options? I would like to do it as cheap as possible, but still get a good set up, the best bang for the buck, if you will. I've seen a few different set ups out there, but $2500+ is out of the question right now.
Your options now are Terminator, Stealth, BTS, and Swamps.
Terminator: $2000 if you use your current HPOP, or $2400 to get rid of your HPOP and get two remans from Joey.
Stealth: $2000 if you use your current HPOP, $1400 if you have a spare HPOP and just want the complete kit, or $900 for the DIY where you supply both HPOP's and pick up the lines and fittings.
BTS: I think they've dropped their price recently to $2500 or $2200, something like that. They are no longer using the 530 pump (unless you want to for $3000).
Swamps: $1500 for their setup which utilizes a different pump.
I'm running the Terminator, so I'm partial to that one. Extreme ICP is awesome. Customer service before and after the sale has been great.
Im soon in the market too. I know it's between Terminator and BTS. I've seen both systems and they both have their selling points. The only reason i wouldn't want the BTS system is that it goes up instead of in the valley, which would cut down on possible room for a second turbocharger. BWD says their towing compounds fit under the stock hood with the BTS but i don't see how it would. I was thinking of the Terminator because it goes in the valley and doesn't take up extra room, no gears etc to deal with. I however have heard that Terminator has had a few problems with their pumps blowing fittings right out of the aluminum bodies and causing oil to get all over the engine and everywhere else. Still undecided.

Haven't heard about this whatsoever.
I was aware of a truck with a Swamps kit that had a hose fitting blow, and caused a fire. It was more the improperly crimped fitting than the pump system, IIRC.
If I were buying Big Oil right now, I'd be buying a Terminator system. Joey is one of the best guys around, makes a great product, and I know I'd be taken care of as a customer. Plus it's only about an hour's drive to get there, so locality is a nice bonus.
At the same time, you can't really go wrong with any of the systems. Talk to each of the companies over the phone, and pick the one you like best. Once you've driven a truck with big oil, it's hard to get back into your own truck and drive it every day without longing for Oil, because the difference is ridiculous.

Jeremy is probably busy with a ******** under the hood of his truck, but ask him about that, he was the one who told me. Me personally, haven't heard of it either.
I have the Swamps setup, and it works great!! It was the most affordable, and and really the simplest to install and service. However it did require the relocation of the OEM fuel bowl, but that didn't bother me at all. One of the nice things about the Swamps "Gen3" is that they use basically an off the shelf Haldex gear pump along with the OEM pump. These gear pumps are extremely reliable, and are available in several flow ratings, so you can have anything from medium oil to "drain the Valdez" type oil. The interconnections to the OEM HPOP are hardline, so no much chance of a blowout there, and they also include an auxillary oil supply line that is a stainless steel braid. I have every confidence with my current big oil setup.
I am not sure all the details in the Burned Truck fiasco, but that has been a some time ago, and I can tell you their customer service to me has been outstanding, and I have not been an easy customer.
