Timing can be adjusted with software, no need to move the sensor. Joe, I had forgotten about those adjustable sensors used in the distributor. It's like crank triggers for Hi Perf gassers when they first came out. They were adjustable too but this style sensors are long gone. The computer geniuses figured out that the computer can control timing much more precisely. I have fooled around with fuel maps on my vette, it has an Accel DFI system, digital fuel injection, It's totally adjustable with a laptop...really cool stuff for us gear heads.
Ive done the EOT mod in the past and it was alright but I didnt like how it made my glowplugs still stay on when the engine was warm. Pretty neat mod tho.

I think I have a bad CPS slso. Bought a new grey one at the dealership a couple of weeks ago for 20.41, truck is still acting up. Checked my codes again today after I changed fuel filter and started it up. Tried to drive down the road, didn't make it out of my driveway. That's when I checked my codes again and it said bad cps. Going tomorrow to get a new sensor. So I quess they do have defective ones.
