I was wondering if anyone had ever had a 7.3 that had a miss much like a cps going bad, but only when it rains. Truck runs fine when the sun is shining. I have replaced the cps once since this started but did not fix anything. My check engine light comes on sometimes when it misses, could a ford dealer maybee get a code off this that would lead me in the right direction? Thanks
We used to have a 2001 450 repo truck that did this in the rain. It was under warranty then, seems like I remember it had something to do with the accelerator pedal assembly

Sorry I have't responded back yet, thanks for the info. It usually starts with just some rain outside. I don't usually have wet feet and my windshield has never leaked that I have noticed. Thanks
my guess would be CPS plug...go to a parts store and get some electrical grease in a tube and electrical cleaner in a spray can..its made for sensors and light bulbs on your truck...pull the plug off of the CPS and spray the cleaner in the socket of the plug to chase out any moisture..shake the plug good to get the cleaner out..it is fast drying but make sure its dry.make sure the rubber weather ring is in the socket or maybe stuck in the sensor...then put a dab of grease in the socket and plug it back in...you can do this to the IDM as well...I do this every electrical socket on my truck
