My '08 V10 averages about 12 MPG per tank. I get about 14 on the highway and 11 around town. I don't drive easy either. Towing my 5k lb boat is around 10-11.
Have a V10 with the 4:30 gears. Very pleased with the performance. Towed a 8K trailer in the mountains last year with absolutely no problem. Enjoy you new vehicle!
First let me say that I have owned two 460s and two V10s. The 460s never saw more than 10mpg, both had 4.10s. My V10s were both 2000s one in an Excursion and one in a F250, both with 4.30s. My F250s best was 14mpg, and average regular driving was 11-12. My Excursion averages 12-14mpg.
