tewferford, I think you described me and my yard in your first post exactly. The things are all over my truck and I can't rid of the darn things, no matter what I do they always come back. I guess it doesn't help that I park under a tree and part way on the lawn.

And I ain't clicking none of those links!!! I get the creeps just lookin at pictures of spiders, not to mention I get all itchy and feel like there crawling all over me. Man I really hate spiders.

<----- Even one's like that

One time I slipped my bare foot into my sneaker, felt that sucker hug all eight arms around my big toe. Woowee that hurt when he bit. One of those big house spiders, about the size of a half-dollar.

Spiders are everywhere, some species are no bigger than the period on the end of this sentence. You are never more than 3 feet from a spider.

i have about 15 minutes after getting bit to get to the hospital. after that, i start to go comatose

Yes, I just had to say that! There's something about spiders for me, they make me queazy like alot of people, but I still find them fascinating. I almost never kill them, and heck I spent hours as a kid feeding them!

We have a lot of spiders this year too, although they're relatively small (Indianapolis area). What I've learned to do, when I see a web, is not immeadiately tear the web down, but watch and find the spider and kill it, then tear down the web. Seems like if I tear down the web, they just come back, but if I kill the spider first, webs don't reappear for a long time.

We have had a problem with them for the last two years and we get some pretty big wolf spiders that just love to live in my ceder trees,Killed two last night about the size of a siver dollar each.I am not afraid of them but the wife is but I still don't like getting a face full of web when I'm walking thru my yard.

I am also having a problem with little red aggresive spiders in our newly remodeled bathroom,I kill at least 3 to 5 a week and had one jump at me last night. We have all kinds of spiders but I have never saw any like these before, some are as big as a dime and nasty looking,I think they would give the wolf spiders a run for there money by the looks of them.

A writing spider built a web at the corner of my porch around the beginning of the week. It is a beautiful creature. I let it alone because it is not hurting anything it is actually beneficial. My wife likes to catch insects to feed it so she is cool with it too. That being said I kill black widows and brown recluse.

As long as I let my chickens out every day, I don't have a spider problem. They run around and eat them!!! If I keep them penned up, then the spiders become so thick that they looke like shadows on the house!!! I'd rather dodge chicken land mines in the yard!!!!

I used to play with spiders when I was a boy.
No fear whatsoever and they never bit me once.
