im looking to do my own camber/caster ..has anyone used the wheel mount set ups or the magnetic one that goes on the spindle? ......i would like to hear how it worked out for anyone that has used them so i can figure out which one to get . thanks
I used one from Rebco a few years back. Worked great but don't forget you need turn plates to check the caster. When you use them you have to turn the wheels 20 degrees and check the swing difference which is converted to caster angle.
You can use a good magnetic protractor to set chamber. Just cut a 1*1 steel tube to to rest on the rim edge (not the pointy edge, the bead area), attach the protrator and hold it against the rim. I use two pieces of formica (grease between them) as trun plates when setting toe, chamber and caster.
