I have a 2000 X Limited (white and tan)- V10 with 151K miles that I just recently picked up. It's stock and I don't plan to do much to it. Love the truck. Do a lot of travleling with it....not much towing...
Anyway, my drivers side window goes down really hard and I need to push on it sometimes for it to go all of the way down. My friends 2003 PSD F350 has the same issue. I've put while lithum grease in the channels and it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?
My passenger window only slows down when it gets to the ending, when its almost in the door, I'm thinking its the double limo tint but the other windows work fine. When the window is wet or cleaned it operates good.
It goes down hard starting about half way down, then is acts like it's binding up. sometimes when it's wet, it seems to go down better. i put lithum grease in the channels and itls still holding it up. I goes up with any issues.....sometimes it will stop all together on it's way down if i don't help it.
Is there a thread on here about the best way to take off the door pannels? I need to take a look at my lock actuators too. I saw the post where it says how you can fix them, but I tried to start taking the pannels off and I'm scared that I will break tabs or not get them back on.
