Clutch break in

Is there a break in required for a LUK clutch. Do I have to wait to tow?

You should give any clutch about 500 miles before you beat on it. You can tow with a brand new clutch...but don't be surprised if it slips almost as bad as the old one until it burns in some.

The old clutch was fine. The flywheel, that's another story.

I would do what cookie says if possible. Although I changed mine and drove about 30-50 miles then hooked a 15,000 lb camper to it and drove over 500 miles. Had to. I had no probs though. just my .02 worth

Of course....the joys of the dual mass flywheel.

My LUK slipped quite a bit for the first few days, but once it broke in it's been very solid and dependable.

Oh I believe you. It's possible that the boss is doing upgrades, we don't generally get told until after the fact. All I'm saying is that I am unaware of any problem with the site.

I broke in my clutch for 500 miles. That was what the manufacturer recommended.
