Let's not go there... no need for this to get political.

Yeah we call California the PRC it's a play on the People's Republic of China since California is quite the socialist state.

My dealership doesn't care either, but I have known people that have gotten stopped and fined by police(now of course puffing the black smoke doesn't attract a lot of good attention, the guy is a little bit of an idiot though), so I think it is on the books as being a no no, but like I said it may not be all that strictly enforced in some places versus others, but the law is on the books. Just like when I was growing up, if you wanted a beer at a restaurant you had to be a member of their club(albeit a free membership) and they always asked for your membership card, now they don't do that anymore, however counties still have that rule, just don't enforce it as much(it's the reverse of what's happening with vehicles, but the concept is the same). However as time goes on, I'm willing to bet it will become stricter.

This maybe is in need of a different thread but what about the Particulate Filter? Could removing this cause legal issues?

Not political, just information based upon the US census report, dept of naturalization and immigration numbers all available to anyone on line. Look them up yourself.
Politics is defined by webster as:
Main Entry: po·lit·i·cal*: adjective
Pronunciation: p&-'li-ti-k&l</I>
Etymology: Latin </I>politicus
1 a : of or relating to government, a government, or the conduct of government</I> </I>b : of, relating to, or concerned with the making as distinguished from the administration of governmental policy</I> </I>
2 : of, relating to, involving, or involved in politics and especially party politics</I> </I>
3 : organized in governmental terms <political units</I>></I> </I>
4 : involving or charged or concerned with acts against a government or a political system <political prisoners</I>></I>
- po·lit·i·cal·ly*
Nothing in the definition about population demographics is there? As for my changing the spelling of my state to reflect the population demographics which only reflects a local popular slang expression.

When I moved from CA I removed the cat from both my vehicles, they are much happier now! The one off my V-10 was HUGE! There's no emissions requirement in this county, but I do think removing the muffler entirely would probably violate a noise ordinance or something.

Yes, acutally, without all that back pressure, the supercharger works much better.

Storm, Definitely makes the morning commute less boring. Numbers 1 and 2 thinkin they needed a caffiene jolt. As for #3--if it would have been me getting shot at--well, there were some mornings I didn't recognize the ceiling when I opened my eyes. This was back before I decided to settle down for the--hmm lost count--time. lol

I don't know if it would help without the super charger, it was on when I took it off. That's actually the main reason I removed it, it wasn't getting the boost it was supposed to.
