hey guys, my truck has the xlt trim package and the body molding is all oxidized and crappy looking. not to mention theres probably alot of mud behind them. what exactly is holding them on? if i take them off will i experience clips, or holes or what? or are they just held on with double side tape? anyone ever take theirs off? i wanna do it for the sake of the truck looking cleaner and smoother. thanks guys.
alright, how did you go about removing them? i was thinking about twisting up some fishing line and using it like a saw to get up behind them. thats how people say to remove emblems, isnt it?
I've never been worried about preserving the paint or anything, so I always just grab an edge and pull it off. I then soak the leftovers with adhesive remover and scrape it off with a razor blade.
No don't do it I thought about it and I went and pulled some in the junkyard. There are three holes they use at the factory to line them up right, thats why mine are still on. Mine would have been long gone by now too.

Are you talking about the emblems, or the rubber/chrome trim that runs the length of the truck?
