I would like to disable the interior likes at times. There have been occasions when I needed to exit my truck whithout interupting the sleeping kids/wife. The kids can handle the waking up and dropping back off but the wife just won't drop back to sleep. Then she starts to talk and talk. One one road trip I did'nt speek to my wife for over sixteen hours. She hates to be interupted. So the family is planning a road trip soon. You can see where I'me going with this. I looked in the manual but the interior lights are not mentioned on any of the fuses. Any help on this one.
It seems like it would be real simple to disable the overhead light.
Take the light cover off, you should see wires going to the bulb. If you cut one of those wires, then attached the cut wire to an SPST switch and mount the switch on the light housing. Mount it so the switch is out of the way. That way, you could flip a switch and disable the overhead light, but with the switch the other way the light would work normally.
duct tape, ear plugs, blindfold, no wait its easier to just have her ride in the bed of the truck. please be polite and give her an umbrella incase it rains.
My 04 EB Expedition has an off position on the instrument light /dome light switch taht kills the dome lights when turned off. Can this be adapted to the superduty? The switch looks the same as my 04 F350.
