I have a 03, Expy, purchased new. 3 years ago we had a remote start kit installed. It was a Audio Vox kit and I had to get a bypass kit from Ford. The shop installed everything and it seemed okay. Then one day the wife went to start the car with the key and it would not start. Kept trying and after a couple minutes it finally started.
We have a garage now and do not need the remote start. Since we are having problems with the car starting we decided to remove the remote start. I unhooked all the wires and removed the bypass and now it will not start. If I plug the bypass back in it will start. Where does this bypass plug go, I have the steering column tore apart and can not find a home.
What do I have to do to get this back to original?
In what way does it not start. Nothing at all or turning over, but not firing? If it is turning over but not starting, it might be your Idle control valve.
It will not turn over. You can hear a click coming from the relay in the fuse box but that is it. All the accessories work but the starter will not kick in.
