Actually i did not pass a 6.0 L, Even better i passed a new 6.4 L ford diesel.

I have a dp tuner, 4" exhaust, rebuilt turbo, cold air intake, and yes my pyro was fine. Did not even get over 1100.

I am going to start a post on egt's to get a idea from everybody.

Before you start an EGT thread, check out this one... Does EGT give a false sense of security?
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/590447-does-egt-give-a-false-sense-of-security.html

...My next thought was that monitoring the "average temperature" of 4 cylinders can give a give a false sense of security. Wear can result in variations in injector fueling, compression, etc..., which causes different combustion temperatures in the various cylinders. For example, assume 3 cylinders are running at 1150 F and the 4th at 1350 F. This gives an EGT reading of 1200 F, and all seems well, except that one piston is melting!...

...I don't want to hear how the above numbers are wrong! I made them up to show how averaging can be misleading. I would like to hear about real data from folks with the AE setup, which I think gives individual fueling rates for each cylinder. If I get typical variations (especially for older engines) I'll do some analysis and report back some meaningful averaging errors. With enough data, one can draw conclusions like, if I maintain an EGT reading of 1150 F there's a 98% confidence that none of the cylinders are exceeding 1250 F!...
I'll be looking for your thread to see if I can get some more data to run my probability analysis!

That depends on who put that pipe to the manifold. If you had put it on there and they just fixed something at the top, then in good faith, you are the one responsible for that repair.
Exhaust assembly, in many cases, can be more art than science because of all the expansion and contraction that goes on.

Is there any quick fix i can do here i am in kelowna BC. It is 14 hrs from home and my truck sounds like a farm truck from the beverley hillbillies before they hit oil.

All replacement turbos will come with the exhaust side as you put it. Even a dusted turbo will perform better than what you describe.

I think you need to do a pressure test of the intake system. Are you familiar with this? Then look at the up-pipes. After that you need to look at the fuel system. A buzz test of the injectors and a contribution test would also be helpful, as would some live data monitoring of the ICP levels to check the HPOP.

You see, there is but a few things that lead to failure to make boost after you check the intake and up-pipes. Lack of fuel due to poor pump, or filter and or obstruction. Bad oil. Bad HPOP or ICP IPR. Bad injectors, or totally fried turbo. There is also the throttle pedal assembly but that can be eliminated in park by revving the engine and checking the response at different inputs.

Again I will say, make sure your map and gauge signal tubing is fully intact and not leaking or clogged. Without a proper map reading the PCM will never move the truck ahead as it will not see the value it needs. It is also possible you could have a map sensor problem. This is way down the troubleshooting list.
Does this engine have a boostfuel circuit of some kind?

Yes, but the fuel volume is increased via the high pressure oil system. Nothing really changes in the fuel system itself, just the oil pressure to the injectors.

The analog Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is a variable capacitor sensor that is supplied a 5-volt reference signal by the PCM and returns a voltage signal to the PCM relative to intake manifold pressure. The sensor voltage increases as pressure increases. The MAP sensor allows the PCM to determine engine load to calculate fuel quantity. In addition, the MAP signal is used to control smoke by limiting fuel quantity during acceleration until a specified boost pressure is obtained.

Don't forget the muffler bearings.

.

What you need to do to properly fix this problem is to loosen every bolt on the leaking up-pipe, reposition it so that it seals properly at the bottom. Then tighten the bottom bolts first, then the top ones.

You wont believe this....the 2 two header bolts on the back of the header were loose???? what the heck did those guys do to the truck. Anyway the exhaust leak is fixed but i have another problem.

Going through the mountains.........pulling hard...............very hard............seriousley, get in the zone here.........pretend you are driving.......OKAY.......so pullin hard....................2 minute pull............................passing semi trucks like they are in park.................runnin good............watching the egt"s...........all good..........1150.............staying there............sweet doing 85k in D still..............holding there.............all of a sudden boost drops to 8 and truck starts smoking and loosing speed fast...............okay here is the funny part.

I WAS NOT WATCHING THE ENGINE TEMP.

Long story made short, wrapped the engine temp gauge past the red.
(coolant was bubbling inside resivoir)

Shut the truck off for 1 hour fired it back up and ran as good as new.

Okay what happened, and do you think i did any damage.

I guess you didn't read my cautionary post #107 concerning EGT. This is an even a shorter version! I'm wondering just how close you might've come to burning a piston, otherwise known as the "China syndrome" for a PSD! I NEVER exceed 1000 F if I can help it, and if I do its only because I'm nearing the summit and the end is in sight. I always downshift to a lower gear to keep the EGT low, and just take my time going up long grades.

Check the table below. I'm going to post a more complete story here...

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/647541-performance-equation-for-the-6-8l-triton-v10-versus-the-7-3l-psd.html#post5079171

... that will include the effects of antifreeze and the radiator pressure cap, but keep in mind, if you've ever watched a pot of hot water on a stove come up to a boil, the 212 F temp is for a full blown rolling boil, bubbles start to form at a far lower temp as dissolved gases are forced from the solution. If these types of bubbles start to form in your coolant it immediately looses much of its heat conduction and thermal transfer efficiency, and it's a rapid down hill journey from there to a complete boil over situation.

Alright i placed a opinion of mine in another forum, and nobody liked it. It was in the S.P diesel forum, about poor customer service. Anyway if every user in here is mad at me for placing my opinion, that is fine with me.

I am sorry for placing my opinion on these forums, as a small buisness owner myself i just put myself in S.P diesels shoes.

Nobody has to help me anymore on my problems,or i wont talk or post anything anymore.

I am sorry for typing right now strokin it 7.3, Now that i have "Bad Reps" id better go slit my wrists since strokin it 7.3 told me i have bad reps.................lol

GO STROKE YOUR 7.3 CM all day long or are you a 7.3 pump chump, anyway i will leave these forums and i am sorry for making a post of opinion.

And in my "opinion" Strokin it probalby has a 10 speed bicycle a "Huffy" to be exact and internet access.

You meant to sign up for the child rapist forums, but you got lost on the way.

I will not be bothering anyone else on here.

Thanks everybody for your help on the topics that i posted and on the topics i replied to, i hope they were useful.

Thanks

Man, what little bit of help you may have hope to receive in the future just got smaller. You have now put down one of the most highly thought of member of this forum. He has forgot more about diesels than you will ever hope to know. Good luck with your truck and all of your problems. I'm sure with your attitude you will find help where ever you go. Bye

Your opinion was welcome here. I for one supprted it as it was you opinion. What you posted here was super childish BS. Kris' post may not have been the most well thought out post either, but that was his opinion.

This business of I don't like what you said and getting all bent is not cool but let's not get carried away. You cannot go running off because one member did not like your post but if you do, then so be it. I was actually curious about why you felt that way. I know I have PO'd many folks here. When I realize what happened, I either explain my position or apologize. No biggy. What's it going to be?

Kris will be turning 18 here soon. Do not mistake that for having no truck experience. He knows more about our trucks than I do. Perhaps his people skills may need some polishing, but I think he does quite well in light of his age.

Think about this, maybe the next time your post ought to be more along the lines of I disagree because.... rather than screw all of you guys here.
Hope you change your mind, but if not, good luck to you. This is a great group of folks here, take advantage of it. We are very forgiving. Ball's in your court. JMO.
