Well i have met my limit and i cant take anymore. I cant work on this thing anymore. I did the turbo, all the gaskets but i am not loosening any of those bolts ever again in my lifetime. The truck is going to the dealer at 7:30 AM and we will have everything fixed up and they can find out for me why the truck has low power and runs like a bag of crap.
I am going to thank everybody again for all the help and support so far, thanks for your time, i hope this is nothing too serious because i hit my limit.
I will update tomorrow when it comes out of the shop
lmao..I felt the same way..I played with that thing for 2 1/2 hours alone..I was bent out of shape yelling all kinds of nasty words...gave up at 11 PM went to bed..got up next morning had a couple cups of coffee..got the GF out there..in 15 minutes it was done...some times just walking a way and coming back later is the best thing to do...give it one more shot...your so close...id hate to see that dealer take your $$$..by the time they get done charging you..you could have bought that up grade kit

I just bought a 01 f350 with the same boost number as you(12-14) I'm a little behind you on what your trying so far. I did unplug the line to the wastgate line and no difference. The thing is a dog untill you hit 2500 to 2800rmps. I leaving a Dodge3500 12value that ran great. ( I wated a cab/half dump) for the family.

Welcome to the boards. You have a boost leak and need to read the rest of this post for possibe places to look. Most boost leaks are simple to fix. lacustoms just happened to get one that is turning out to be a beast to repair. Most common leaks are around one of the six boots.
Thanks, This weekend I do some digging. I bought the 4" PVC plug to test my boots. I look forward to working on this new truck. These fourms are the best for info.
Alright, its update time. I worked on the truck this morning for 3 hours................long story made short, i thought i had it and put everything back together and well...........nothing. Still leaking like a sive.
I drove to work and just about died........headache the whole way.......1.15hr drive to work in the morning, cold morning, heater could not keep up to the windows down the whole way and smoke coming into my cab ......got out of the truck and i smelt like the exhaust pipe.......haha......yeah laugh it up, i am laughing right now...... It was actually pretty funny...lol....anyway i am in a good mood tonight, and i am going to listen to everybody and give it one more shot.
But first i am going to have a shot, Crown royal and coca-cola to be exact......maybe two just to get a guy in a good mood.....

Lacustons.
You are a real trouper, I don't know if I could stay with it like you are. But you are an incentive to most of us on here. If you stay with this than I think I will try more indepth repairs on my truck when the time comes. Keep at it and be proud of yourself as we are proud of you. Good luck
Alright here is the lowdown, i got the exhaust leak fixed at a local shop.
I know what you are thinking and yes i gave up. I couldn't do it myself. I worked on it for 5 hours trying to line up that Y pipe and I couldn't do it.
I took it to a shop and got raped on the charges for the repair.
I got the turbo back in and there are no leaks in my system. All i am getting for boost is 18 psi. I don't know what the problem is so what do i look for now. I took the turbo to a shop and they looked at it, and it was okay. I have no leaks in my system and 18 psi what now?
Let's hear what I should do next.................I don't know what's goin on
I'am leaving today to kelowna for a vacation and i have a 14 hour drive so we will see how the old super duty holds up.
I will post in a couple of days and let you know how it's running if i can get internet access.
Either it will be on fire on the side of the road, or it will run good.......it has 2 choices, i hope my truck makes the right decision..........

You may have stated already but I don't remember, what are you using to get your readings? I'm running the superchips set on 90hp and at WOT I will see 23-24psi with wastegate working and a little more with the wastegate unplugged. Is it possible that you gauge is reading off a couple of lbs?
That may indeed be a gauge anamoly. The big thing is how does the truck run? If it is running well, you have a gauge problem. Enjoy the vacation. You have more than enough boost to get away for now. Hopefully not towing anything but WTH. It would be like a stocker if the gauge is accurate.
Hey tenn, i am towing a 8000 pound 5th wheel and.........well.......lets say i passed a guy in a 2007 ford, probalby paying 1250 a month for his shiny superduty, well when i passed him on the cokeahila pass throught the mountains ( steep long pull the hill is a legend for breakdowns), he was just looking at the black smoke from my truck.......ha......ha.....
Anyway, i am really happy from the performance.....she ran good, 14 hr trip, and not a hicckup.
Now i got another problem now.....you know how i gave up and took the truck in and ot the exhaust leak at the back of the turbo fixed, now it is leaking at another place.
If you are under the truck, by the oil filter side of the engine, it is leaking at the manifold, where the up pipe connects to it??????? what the heck is up with that. The bolts are tight???? what do i do for maybe a quick fix????? what did they screw up????
And by the way, i am in a rv park here and one of the houses around has unsecured wireless internet.....so i have the net. I will come on tomorrow

Seeya.......
They didn't get the flange correctly aligned with the outlet on the manifold OR something is machined incorrectly and made it impossible to get it to completely seal. 2nd option very unlikely.
I hope you have a pyrometer when you are towing like that. If you can pass a 6.0 on the Qoquihalla Pass like that your cylinders are getting too much heat.
