About a year and a half ago, my Mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. There was a small tumor in her lung and one of her lymph nodes. She went through rigorous amounts of chemotherapy and radiation, and was clear for 6 months afterwards.

Last January after an MRI to check progress, a tumor was found in her brain. More radiation again and it seemed to help. In May, another MRI was done and the tumor had shrunk quite a bit.

Last week it was time again for an MRI to see how everything was going. The test was done, but we haven't got the results yet.

Yesterday afternoon while I was visiting she started to have seizures. She was feeling fine and normal then all of a sudden she said her lip felt numb. Withing one minute she was having a full seizure. We called the ambulance and got her to the hospital where they began treatment for the seizure.

As of now, she is still having small signs of seizures. She is completely coherent and has her wits about her, she has good strength in all parts of her body but she can barely talk. She isn't in any pain.

The oncologist said that the tumor has rapidly grown and is putting pressure on her brain causing the seizures. This is all I know as of so far.

I may not be around much for a little while, after losing Robin earlier this year, this is almost too much to handle. I will try to check in and let you guys know what happens.
