Well, everything is pretty much the same. Mom is able to talk a little better today and seems a little stronger. She left the hospital and went to a hospice house. Ussually hospice houses are a last stop, but she still has a chance because the seizures are responding to the medication. She seems to be getting a little better rather than going down hill.
Being at a county hospital was doing her no good. They made several mistakes on her medication. They weren't giving her proper doses. The nurses wouldn't respond sometimes when she needed help. They never notified her doctors that she was in there. Her oncologist, radiologist and general cancer doctor never knew anything until hospice contacted them. They are all working together now on a plan to get her well enough to at least come home.
Still taking things one day at a time, thats all we can do. And praying for her.
I am glad to hear she is in a hospice and not a hospital anymore.Hospitals are not what they used to be.It seems like all they are worried about anymore is how good the insurance is.But anyway, the hospice house will give her alot more attention when it comes to caring for her.And the way they are making leaps and bounds in advances in medicine, hopefully we will be hearing an all cured story from you real soon!
Thanks for all of your support. Today went pretty good in the morning at least. She did have another siezure this afternoon, but it stopped on its own without any meds so I guess thats a good thing. One day at a time.
