ooh yeah hopefully someone will come to my aid but i am greatful i have this site to help me out along my troubled ways and with the questions i have Only thing i hate is not driving the truck ...but again i hadnt had problems in the past with any of these things so i guess its about time to have some problems and hopefully when its fixed i wont be having anymore major problems for another long time...
well it never hurts to try ... as for leaks i figured if its going to come out the valley it would be soaked but its clean ... no sign of any leakage just the oil coming out of the exhaust ... jeremy aka jtharvey had asked me if i had seen any oil in my up pipes when i removed the tubo but the up-pips were clean just your normal soot but none built up ... the only thing with oil was the exhaust part of the turbo thats why i had thought it might have been a seal in the tubo ... but when i took the tubo apart and recieved the new parts the old parts did not seem to be damaged in any way but some how oil was in the exhaust part of my turbo and now i see oil coming out the exhaust were is it coming from ??? if u guys got a minute you can check out my white smoke topic and can see the pictures of my turbo insides ... as for tommorow i may take a video of the truck idling and without the oil cap so u can see what i got going here ...
ok heres another video for u guys to take a look just the oil cap on and off ...some of u guys mentions blow bye so since im not exactly sure what that means u guys can take a look for yourselfs..
The oil and smoke was the reason for the turbo rebuild. I'm thinking there's still something not right with the turbo though. I'm thinking this because I can't see why else the uppipes don't have an oily residue in them, but the turbine housing and downpipe do? To me, that almost pinpoints the problem with the turbo. I know it was just rebuilt, but perhaps there's a problem with the turbo still, like in the center section not allowing the ring seal to function properly. I with you could get a different turbo to try, one that's known to not have any issues, and bolt it on to see if there's any difference.
