well when it orginally started acting up i would say it had a good amount but really only when u would roll to a stop it would start building up but now as u guys can see there it kinda sticks with the truck ... as for the fuel filter i just changed that today ... as for the fuel it self well i dont honestly think that could be it i usely fill up in the same places i have for a long time and well im not saying its the cure for water in the fuel but i always ad the diesel kleen (grey bottle). oil filter and oil is not to old i would say month and half but not that many miles on the recent change... and the injectors well those were changed i would say about 3years back maybe a lil longer ...and finally for fuel economy i havent had a chance to actual run it any real good distance just from my house to town because like i had said as soon as i noticed it i basically stopped running the truck in fear of damaging something important...
I replaced all my injectors about a year ago, and pulled the VC's off just to check the torque later on and was very surprised to be able to torque the bolts down again to 120 inch pounds. All eight of them took at least 1/8 turn to snug back down. Made a huge difference in how "tight" my engine sounded.
And the way that the smoke builds at idle and clears out as you go, that really tells me leaking injector because the fuel will be dripping at the same rate no matter what the engine rpm or throttle setting. It will smoke a lot more at idle with this problem.
A blackstone report may be helpful here. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some wall wash and getting some fuel into the crankcase.
i just took this picture i want to know if im on the right track here...ooh and the valve covers are they torqued to a specific amount? or...

Pretty hard to see what's written there, but you are right. The four circles are the rocker arm pedastals and the single arrow is the injector hold down
Rockers are 20 foot pounds and the injectors are 120 inch pounds.
Gotta go do some errands for now and will be off line until this afternoon.
If one of your injectors is a leaker I think it will take a lot of turning to get the bolt to tighten up. Make note of which one it is if you just want to pull the one to repair it as it had a full set not too long ago.
Good luck.

actually it only had 2 injectors changed about 3 years ago
ok so i got everthing back together and on the truck decide well might as well test drive it ... and the Smoke is still their BUT i dont think it could be the injectors because when i came back home with my big white cloud of smoke i pulled it into the driveway and shut it off went to my bed were my exhaust is cut and i seen my axle/driveshaft drenched in oil and since it was not to hot i put my fingers into the exhuast and there is oil all in the exhaust... so now what? is it still the injectors or is there something else wrong with my truck ....bye the way the truck runs fine well to me i dont honestly feel a difference but the oil in the exhaust is making my white smoke im assuming...
that sucks..sorry to hear that...oil smoke is blue...are you sure its oil dripping out not just moisture from sitting...then mixxing with soot on its way out??? how was the coolent ??? is there bubbles in the fill tank when running?? just some ideas im trying to throw at you...may not be the problem..how about coolent in the oil on the dip stick??? maybe blackstone can help with oil sample as kwikk said
