Question A/C warm and hot

I have a 2002 Explorer and my a/c was blowing out warm air on the drivers side and hot on the passenger side. I recharged the system. Now it blows semi cool air onthe drivers side but still warm air on the passenger side. What would be the cause onf the temp. differences and how can I correct the problem? Also how can I get the a/c to blow cold air and not just cool air?

welcome ez. you need to get a litte more info... if the charge is low then the air will be warm. you say it was "charged", but what you really need to know is the low pressure side and high pressure side readings when it is running. should be about 35 psi and 275-300 psi. if your numbers are low, you need more gas. if your high side is too high, you might have air trapped in with the gas and not expanding right.... if pressures are good and the air is always warm then the mixing door that combines hot and cold air to regulate the temps might be broke or stuck toward the "hot" side.... there were two kinds or air conditioner systems. the standard one has same temp on the driver and passenger side. the "delux" allows you to varry the temp from one seat to the other. any idea which you have? what do the controls look like? try turning the "temp" **** from hot to cold. does that effect it much or is it "stuck".

I checked the low side and it was low so I charged it to about 35 psi. Can I use the same meter that I used to measure and charge the low side to the high side? What do you mean by air may be trapped with the gas? How can I fix it if that is the case? I have single controls for the heat and a/c. Where would the mixing door be and how do I get to it if it is stuck?
