And, we've heard of ones going 450K+. Highway miles, of course

Mine? Only 27K!

Maintenance performed so far:

1) Exhaust manifold studs - replaced with headers.
2) Oil and filter, fuel filter
3) Plugs and boots at 21K (two years ago).

Holy crap - y'all are sitting pretty...
01 Excursion with 138K on it - Bought last year with 114K. This thing runs great.

I change the oil/filter every 5-7k (just about due now).

Maintenance plans:
With winter comming, I plan on changing the anit-freeze (no over heating problems, so I haven't been to awful worried about it).
Also planning a tranny flush.
In the spring, I pull all of the COPs and check/change the plugs.

Other than that, I just plan on driving it with some common sence. I don't forsee any problems with this engine - it runs smooth and consistant.

2000 has 148,000 miles. My #5 cylinder blew a spark plug at 135,000 miles which I repaired with a TimeSert sleeve. Regular maintenance and runs very strong. I pull a 10,000 lb trailer all the time and it does SOOOOO much better than my Expedition. I've added a trans temp guage and secondary trans cooler. One of my front hubs is going out now so I'll be replacing that next week.

Why plugs at 21k? They would have been the motorcraft original platinums right? Have a flooding condition for a while?
