The lift is about 4" on the front and 5" on the rear. The tires are BFG KM2 315/75-16.
Thanks! I showed your truck to my wife (who is notoriously anti-big lifted truck) and she liked it, she said she liked how it looked like a safari truck.
So green light for me to do some mods, thanks to you!
After getting prices from all the companies listed above the factor that limited me was the clearance while towing my travel trailer. The angle at which I could turn would reduced significantly. My solution was a custom roof rack with removable ladder.
It took two people to get the tire up there but literally took a minute to get up. One person got up there, tied a strap around tire, lifted tire at waist level and other person pulled up. I'm confident I could do it on the side of the road if necessary.
I ended up spending much less than a custom bumper and freed up some cash so I had my fabricator add two 50 in LED light bars and one 20 inside the front bumper.

Ummmm.......... We NEED more pics of the sweet looking EX!
My fabricator utilized the stock mounting holes with spacers where needed. I know the stock mounting holes aren't the best but I only plan to carry my spare and any overflow cargo on long trips. He felt they were strong enough to hold the rack. It is also supported/secured by the rear ladder. He made a custom mount that slides into the stock hitch receiver and is removable (check out pics below). He was going to do another support bar vertically in the other side but felt this setup was more than enough.
Yes I'm running amp steps with the extension arms, that's why you can see the steps. If I didn't have the extension arms the steps would be much more flush with the body. Wife needed it lower so I added the extensions.

something like this may be an option for me as i dig into this spare tire issue i have. does the rack whistle much? i have a 50" bar on my pickup and it whistles bad.

*Drools* I love that white with the Black rack. Beautiful!

It was custom made by a fabrication shop in my town. Really slick mounting using factory holes and reinforced by the ladder with a custom mount sliding into the hitch receiver. All removable by the way.
Spare 37 in tire will not fit in the factory location. I could have tilted it and rested it on the third row, but did not want a projectile in the vehicle god forbid an accident occurred.
I sold the Ex unfortunately, did not like the lifted suspension as a daily driver. Should be picking up another one shortly, I was in the market for a suburban but could not bring myself to losing the towing capacity and capabilities of the Ex.
I know this is pretty old. Anyone heard back from Cross enterprises? I have left a couple messages and several emails w/o contact back. Same with Reunel. Aluminess has been very responsive but so expensive. My rear bumper and quarter got trashed in a collision and would like to jump at this opportunity to use some insurance $ toward a new bumper. Thanks!
