being a 1989 block its roller ready. if it doesnt have the roller cam in it youll need the "spider and dogbones" for retaining the roller lifters, the roller lifters, and to drill 2 holes in the block to mount the spider. youll also need proper length pushrods. other than those things you should be fine to swap to a roller cam and head combo.
Here is a stupid question but if I bought some of those thumper E7 heads could I not get one of his head/cam packages and put it in my motor? I didn't know if that would even be possible. I was just thinking if I put a roller cam in it with those heads it would work.
You don't have to use a roller cam with those heads... you can use any cam with any head you want... just use the valve springs recommended for the cam. I haven't looked at the Thumper website, but if as the others have said his packages are targeted towards mustangs then no, you don't want one of his head/cam packages, the powerband will be all wrong for a truck.
You dig up the pinout for the A9L/A9P computer, find the injector wires and swap the pins for injectors 3 & 7 with 5 & 4. So the 15426378 firing order becomes 13726548.

It won't last 2 seconds.. mainly because it won't bolt up to a 460.

starting in 1985 all 302 blocks are roller ready, all you have to do is get the roller lifters, retaining spider and retaining dogbones, and drill a couple holes for the spider. e5se castings and up. 351w motors werent rollers until 1994.

I know it will not bolt up directly, and I never said it would I was just saying that is old and tired, but I have priced a kit to make it bolt up. I figured it would be easier to put the kit there then try to find a kit to bold my transfer case to my C6 that's behing the 460 now.
I noticed you are running port E6 heads. A couple people are talking like I am crazy for thinking about porting them when you can by those thumper E7's for another hundred dollars.
