I have a 2005 Ford F-150 and all of a sudden a Cd will not eject. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it out. The Cd does not even try to come out at all.
Use to happen to the CD6 unit in my Mustang all the time. When you look into the slot can you see the stuck CD? If so get another CD and use it to nudge the stuck one. Just push it back in ever so gently and then it should pop out.
Is it a burned disc or a store bought disc? I was told that the ford cd players are a little tighter made and the burned discs are a little thicker, so sometimes they don't want to pop out very well. Had lots of problems with my 6 disc changer until I learned to limit how many burned discs I had in at a time.
or, what happend to me, a burned disk with a self made label, the label caught.
beign an engineer, I removed the radio, and then the cover plates on the radio, and then the 6 disk cd cassette from within the radio and found the label issue, when some tiny springs flew into infinity and beyound. So then I got a radio from work ( ford supplier) and swapped the cd cassete and all was good except i forgot to reinstall the bottom cover on teh radio box and shorted the circuit board of the radio on the chrome console shifter when reinstalling and smoked the circuit board. I am now looking for a replacement audiophile radio and have little weld buttons on my once baby smooth shifter ****
Happened all the time in the 6 disk changer in my son's Focus. The left side of the cd would be in one slot and the right side would be in the next lower slot (crossed up). The only way to get them out was to remove the unit and take the top cover off. You could then carefully (but painfully) remove the cd. The problem is that after this happened about 4 times, I broke the carriage trying to get the blasted cd out and had to buy an aftermarket unit, so be carefull!
