Sounds good, if you have no leaks, and its running like normal, you should be good to go! Glad to hear it!

Broke the clip on the rear line because there was not enough clearance to get my disconnect tool in there. Was able to get the little plastic clip that comes with the fuel pump on, and even though it seems loose and doesn't look like it would work, you can't pull the line off with steady pressure by hand and it doesn't seem to leak.

Truck fired up and was able to drive across the street to the hotel for a shower.
We're going to hope this takes care of it. I've got a hose clamp in case the plastic clip fails. Any other suggestions before I get on the road?
Okay -- just thought I'd offer in case you were close. Glad you got it going again!!

I'm north of Dallas just off 35E in Lewisville, BTW.

OK now what? Made it 5 miles south and the truck did that hard sputter, just once. SES & low fuel light flashed for one second and went off. Truck is still running but I'm now scared. Cruise control was set on 70 @ 2000 rpm's. I had the cruise on yesterday too. Could this be cruise control related?

PS Still no leaks in fuel line.

I'd put a fuel-line-size stainless worm-drive clamp on the fuel line anyhow. Maybe two.

You might be sucking air into the system just before the pump. I really don't trust the factory connectors.

Definitely not cruise control or high speed related. Anyone know a good diesel mechanic in Ardmore OK?

Hopefully it was just air working it's way out. Is it still running? How far did you go?

Let it idle 15 min, then revved it up to 2300 rpm's then let it idle another 10. Went 5 miles till the first shudder. Second one was at about 10 miles. Found a back road and have cruised to 24 miles at 50 mph with no more problems yet.

I would take it home, if it continues to give you sputter trouble, I would look at the fuel supply lines from inside the tank to the pump. Matter of fact, I think the pre-pump and in-tank mods would be in your immediate future. I bet there is a clog in there somewhere. Good luck.

Two things, first when it sputtered, what is like shuting of with the key, but then came back, like a cps issue if youve ever experienced that? Or was it actually a sputter? Secondly, the cps you installed, was it new, used, just bought, your spare or? The thing that bothers me is you said the low fuel light came on, and the ses, the ses should come on if it stalls i think, but not the fuel light.

Nothing like the CPS cough. I had one act up at 155,000. The CPS installed was the new gray one I bought last week as a spare.

Drove down the back roads at 1500 rpm's with no issues. 59.6 miles on the trip meter. I made it to the state line, got on the freeway up to 1900 rpm's and the shudder came back. So I guess we've eliminated the air purge. I'm starting to think Tenn01 is right about a clog somewhere in the fuel line or tank. Any other way to diagnose this without dropping the tank?

Remove the fuel line at the pump, open filler cap, and blow some compressed air through the line and into the tank. Of course if this clears it up, you're still going to want to go in there and clean it out.

Stupid @#)*^*$)(#^@(#_)$&#@%@($&#(*#)(#&*(*$(* POS.

I mean "For Sale 2002 F350. Bring Tow Truck"

Made it to Gainsville and the truck died. Won't start. Coasted off the freeway into a gas station.
